2022 Holiday Gift Guides
For Kids and Teens:
If you don’t want one more cheap plastic toy in your house…this guide is for you.
For Him:
(Most) guys are so simple. It’s so hard to buy for my husband because he really has everything he needs, and even when I ask him what he wants he says he doesn’t want anything. So what I usually do is just focus on getting him something that adds a little extra value to his daily life. An experience is also a great gift as well!
For the Whole Family:
Growing up, my parents would always get a gift for “all the kids” to enjoy together. It was usually a game or something fun that the family could spend time together with. One of the most memorable ones was a Wii, and it was really fun to do family bowling and tennis matches together. Other years we got DDR and Guitar Hero and the whole family loved it. Looking back, it was such a great way to use gifts as family bonding time.
For the Homebody:
The homebody loves all the senses about being at home…from cozying up on the couch with a puzzle or game and fuzzy blanket, or a candlelit bath with a glass of tea and a book. Think: appealing to each sense especially touch, smell, hearing and aesthetic. I chose some gifts that are everything to do with keeping the home a true sanctuary.
For Parents and In-Laws:
Literally WHAT do you get your parents or in-laws that already have everything?! I chose gifts that either enhance their daily life, or is a new activity or experience that they may not have gotten into yet.
For the Cook:
Everything in here are some of my favorite things in my kitchen. I LOVE these items and have shared a lot of them with friends and family who love them as well.
For Her:
For me, I think the secret to gift giving to women is showing that you put some though into the gift. That the gift was picked out just for her, and couldn’t have been just generic for anyone else. Also, something that doesn’t seem cheap or chintzy. I picked out some things that accomplished just that, and things that I would personally want for Christmas!
Stocking Stuffers:
Stockings are SO FUN for me. I love gifting tons of little gifts, so I have a hayday with stockings. I also like to gift lottery scratchers in stockings because it’s super exciting for people. My mom used to put a super sweet juicy orange in each of our stockings. Weird, I know…but it turned out to be a nostalgic thing for me and it was always nice having a little snack before opening presents and breakfast.
