Casita Bathroom Reveal + Sources
Is it weird that this is my favorite room in the house? Ha. I just feel like it’s so ME! When I took a bath for the first time, I was just so relaxed. It’s definitely my vibe.
I really wanted a very traditional, nostalgic European vibe. Yet “clean” feeling. Kind of like I just stepped into a New York City hotel bathroom. Remember my mood boards from the casita? The final product is almost identical! That shows how important mood boards are.
Speaking of the bathtub…I never realized how ergonomic clawfoot tubs are. This thing is the most comfortable tub I’ve ever been in in my life! And we have a jetted tub with a fireplace at our cabin, so that’s saying something.
I was gifted the clawfoot tub of my dreams from Vintage Tub. I loved the quality so much, I ended up buying our sink faucet there as well.
The Tile:
I wanted a timeless, upscale European look. So what better than carrara marble? I thought about going “marble look” ceramic tile, but polished ceramic is really slippery in bathrooms. So I went with a classic honed carrara marble and I love every inch of it.
To make it look “finished’ and well though out, I chose a matching 3×12 carrara marble tile perimeter.
Tile sources are below!
Paint Colors:
The waynscoting is Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams in satin, and the upper part is Chantily Lace by Benjamin Moore in flat.
