Hawaii #1

Aloha! I have been in Hawaii since Saturday visiting my biological dad. I have visited him every Summer since I was a baby, but I haven’t been in three years. I’ve missed all my family and friends here so much! Especially my half sister, who lives with her mom and mom’s side of the family in Tahiti, French Polynesia. Don’t even get me started about missing that place…anyways, here is all about my Sunday in Hawaii! I will be here for a week, so get ready for a week’s worth of Hawaii updates. I will be posting a ton on Instagram as I go along, so follow me for updates!

We love to just sit out on the patio chatting in the great weather. I took out all of my late grandparents’ old possessions to reminisce and see what I wanted to keep. My grandma had this gorgeous blue willow china from the 50’s or 60’s that was all made in England and Japan, and I decided to take that home with me. I ended up finding all of their photos as well. It was funny seeing pictures of my dad and uncles growing up, but I stumbled across these super old photos of my grandparents when they were first married. My grandma was so pretty and had a fabulous sense of style. I love nostalgia, so this was a thrill for me.

My sister and I went back to our favorite Chinese restaurant at the Ala Moana Hotel – Royal Garden – for dim sum. I forgot how much I despise the fact that it is so hard to find and enjoy dim sum in Arizona. We ate our faces off and were shocked to find that our bill was under $20…I forgot how inexpensive it was. I thoroughly enjoyed yet another nostalgic moment this day.

Since we were at Ala Moana…we might as well go shopping, right? Ala Moana Shopping Center is literally the best mall in the entire world. They are always one of the first malls to get the newest and higher end stores. I saw that Kate Spade Saturday opened up a store there, and got the cutest monogrammed mug (which you will be seeing many times in the future, probably on Instagram or styled in my new place when I move in). My sister doesn’t have shopping in Tahiti, so I helped her go a little crazy (which I didn’t mind).

We went across the street to Ala Moana beach park – the less busy of the beaches in Waikiki because it is so huge. We didn’t get to lay out or swim, but we will be back with the paddle board this week! Here’s what I’m wearing:

Target top (similar). Forever 21 skort. Target sandals (Here are the real Sam Edelman ones). Lydell braceletMotives lipstick in ‘Petal Pink‘. NastyGal rings.
