My Quick & Healthy Green Protein Smoothie Recipe
I usually have a green protein drink every day as either a meal replacement or a post-workout snack. It’s a great energizer and the easiest way to get all my greens in for the day. I prefer smoothies over juices because with smoothies for two reasons:
1) You can add whatever ingredients you want and it won’t have a weird texture
and
2) Juicing takes out all the pulp from the vegetables, which contains a LOT of the nutrients that we juice to get into our bodies anyway (kinda counter-intuitive, right?)
Green Protein Smoothie Recipe: (with links)
~10 spinach leaves
1 large kale leaf
(Sometimes I just buy the large tub of mixed greens and put in a big handful)
~4 strawberries
1 big tbsp of greek yogurt
1 tiny scoop of Complete Greens powder (gets allllll the greens you need in there)
1 tbsp coconut oil (remember my post about the benefits of coconut oil?!)
1 scoop of Nutri Clean fiber powder
1 scoop of vegan vanilla protein powder (I’m lactose intolerant and whey protein upsets my tummy)
A few ice cubes
1/2 cup water
